Naomi Campbell given permission to fly to Haiti

London: British model Naomi Campbell has been permitted to fly to Haiti after her earlier trip was cancelled due to a malaria outbreak.

Campbell had hosted star-studded catwalk shows as part of her Fashion For Relief campaign to fund the relief works in Haiti, which was struck by an earthquake in January.

The 40-year-old supermodel had to fly to Haiti in April for distributing collected donations but her plan was called of after a malaria outbreak was reported in the area, reports a news daily.

But now Campbell has been given a green flag to visit Haiti in June.

"I was so disappointed not to be able to make it at Easter, but I was advised that the malaria outbreak made it very dangerous," Campbell said.

"I will go at the end of June. It`s really important for me and everyone who supported Fashion For Relief to see where the money has gone," she added.
