Nawab of Bollywood Saif Ali Khan turns 44

Khan was born on 16 August 1970 in New Delhi. The `Chote Nawab` started his career back in 1992 with his debut film `Parampara`.

New Delhi: Actor and producer Saif Ali Khan born as Sajid Ali Khan to illustrious parents – Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan turns 44 today. The actor was born on 16 August 1970 in New Delhi.`Chote Nawab` started his career back in 1992 with his debut film `Parampara`. Khan struggled to make a mark in the film industry in his initial years but made his presence felt after starring in movies like `Main Khiladi Tu Anari` and `Hum Saath Saath Hain`. Khan`s career soared after his performance in Dil Chahta Hai,which was released in 2001 and since then, there is no looking back for him. He acted in some of the best movies for which he got rave reviews by everyone. Some of his hit movies are Hum Tum, Salaam Namaste, Being Cyrus, Omkara, Parineeta, Love Aajkal, Race and many more. Saif has evolved as a great actor with passing time, the proof of which are the numerous awards that he has received. He has been rewarded with 6 Filmfare Awards, a National Film Award and the coveted Padma Shri in 2010. The actor will be spoilt with a lavish birthday party today, thrown by his ladylove Kareena Kapoor Khan in London, where he is currently shooting for `Phantom`. Post the celebrations, the couple will fly to Italy to spend some quality time together.
