Mumbai: Looks like Aamir Khan’s ‘Delhi Belly’ is making news for all wrong reasons. After receiving flak from certain sections of the society for using objectionable words in the songs of the film, the actor-producer has rubbed fellow actor Anil Kapoor the wrong way.
Anil Kapoor is allegedly upset with Aamir Khan over adapting a hirsute look inspired by him in a song from the film.
When Khan had launched his disco item number ‘I hate you like I love you’, the actor had stated that his look was a tribute to yesteryears actors including Anil Kapoor. Addressing the media, Khan had said, “The hairstyle is borrowed from Amitji, (Amitabh Bachchan), the dancing moves are inspired from Rishiji (Rishi Kapoor), Mithunda (Mithun Chakraborty) and Govinda, and the chest hair is inspired by Anil Kapoor."
Interestingly, Anil wasn’t aware of the song when it was released. However, his family and friends have not taken the joke to well.
Speaking to a daily, a friend of Anil’s expressed shock and said, "Aamir may say he`s just joking and he`s sure it will be taken sportingly, but it`s not done to demean Anil considering his caliber and achievements. It`s certainly not in good taste."
Another source close to Kapoor stated, "Anil wasn`t in the city when Aamir launched his song. But when he heard about it in Toronto, where he was attending an award ceremony, he certainly didn`t seem to be taking it as lightly as Aamir expected."
Anil remained unavailable for comment.
