The dimpled-beauty made her acting debut with ‘Dil Se..’ in 1998 followed by a role in ‘Soldier’ the same year. These performances earned her best female debut award, and she was later recognised for her role as a teenage single mother in ‘Kya Kehna’.
Sharing a trivia from the ‘Kya kehna’, she wrote, "I slapped the Vice principle in the film so hard that when the director said cut he screamed-even if it's not ok Its ok."
