British actor Colin Firth, who is tipped for Oscar glory for his latest movie the "The King`s Speech," was honored with a star on Hollywood`s Walk of Fame on Thursday.

Los Angeles: British actor Colin Firth, who is tipped for Oscar glory for his latest movie the "The King`s Speech," was honored with a star on Hollywood`s Walk of Fame on Thursday.The 50-year-old, who plays stuttering King George VI in the movie also expected to do well in this weekend`s Golden Globes, referred to the movie as he posed next to his sidewalk star on Hollywood Boulevard.
"Sometimes one feels like that particular king in moments like these," he quipped to a small crowd gathered for the photocall.
"I am very happy with my little spot in Hollywood, which I will call my little corner of England, next to my partner Emma Thompson," he said, referring to his fellow British actor whose star is nearby on the famous thoroughfare.
Both golden stars are located near the Pig n` Whistle British pub, a couple of blocks from the Kodak Theater, where the Academy Awards will be presented on February 27.
"The King`s Speech" is nominated in seven categories, including Best Actor for Firth, in this Sunday`s Golden Globe awards show, traditionally seen as a pointer towards Oscar glory.
Firth is widely seen as a favorite for Best Actor at the Oscars, nominations for which will be announced on January 25.
