London: Pamela Anderson has adopted two stray dogs from a shelter in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The supermodel-actress extended a helping hand when animal rights group PETA asked her to help them fund a relocation programme for cats and dogs. These animals were abandoned by desperate owners, who had lost their livelihood following the Gulf Coast oil spill earlier this year, reports a website. Anderson flew to the region and visited shelters. She left with two dogs - Gina Lollobrigida and Bardot - named after two yesteryears` actresses. PETA staff in Virginia agreed to provide shelter to 40 other stray pets following Anderson`s humanitarian act. IANS
