'Peepli Live' co-director Mahmood Farooqui convicted for raping American woman
Delhi's Saket court on Saturday has reportedly convicted 'Peepli Live' co-director Mahmood Farooqui in a rape case.

A still from the film 'Peepli Live' co-directed by Mahmood Farooqui. New Delhi: Delhi's Saket court on Saturday has reportedly convicted 'Peepli Live' co-director Mahmood Farooqui in a rape case.
According to ANI, the district court has convicted Mahmood for raping a 35 year old American woman in 2015. Arguments on the quantum of sentence will take place on August 2 this year.
The victim had complained that she was raped by Mahmood at a rented accommodation in Sukhdev Vihar where she met him to have his help for her research work.
