New Delhi: Aamir Khan met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on Monday to highlight the problems of manual scavengers engaged in cleaning human waste.
The actor was in the capital to raise this important issue, and had a fruitful meeting with the Prime Minister, who assured action against the demeaning occupation.
The Minister for Social Justice, Mukul Wasnik was also a part of the meeting, who too promised to end manual scavenging at the earliest. He also said that a new law will be formulated so as to enable easy implementation of newer programmes related to scavenging.
