Mumbai: Singer Usha Mangeshkar, younger sister of melody queen Lata Mangeshkar, turned 80 today and received a special message from Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, on the occasion.
Lata, 86, took to Twitter to share the message and said she is really proud of her sibling.
"Namaskar. Prime Minister of Canada has sent best wishes to my sister Usha on her birthday. Usha, we are really proud of you," she tweeted.
She shared the picture of the birthday note along with the tweet which read, "Usha Mangeshkar. It's a great pleasure to send you best wishes and warmest congratulations on the occasion of your eightieth birthday."
Usha also thanked the Canadian PM on the micro-blogging website.
"Many grateful thanks the Rt Hon PM of Canada for sending me his greetings on the occasion of my birthday."
