London: Jessica Simpson burst into tears when her fiance Eric Johnson proposed to her earlier this month because it came as "a total surprise". Johnson requested her parents` permission before asking her to marry him, and she was so overwhelmed by the romantic gesture that she couldn`t stop crying. "He had a plan a long time ago.
