Rachel McAdams told off by immigration official
New York: She may be a Hollywood A-lister, but Rachel McAdams was admonished by a US immigration officer who told her to stop making "stupid" movies.
The `Sherlock Holmes` star was entering the US from her native Canada when she faced the officer who also criticised her hair, reported New York Times.
"She kicked me to the curb. She was tough. I had pink hair at the time, and she said, `Don`t dye your hair that colour and don`t make any more stupid movies`," said the 31-year-old actress.
Although she has a green card that allows her to work and live in the US, the officer gave her a tough time.
"I was just glad she let me through," said McAdams. Audiences will next see her opposite Harrison Ford in the comedy `Morning Glory`.
She plays a producer of a breakfast TV show as she attempts to keep the peace between its presenters, played by Ford and Diane Keaton.
McAdams spent several days shadowing staff at America`s top rated morning shows to pick up tips on what it is like to work in TV.
