London: After playing the bespectacled hero in eight `Harry Potter` films, British actor Daniel Radcliffe says he had grown attached to his glasses and decided to keep them as a memento.
The 21-year-old actor said that his prop glasses were the only thing of sentimental value. He recently finished shooting the final scenes of `Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows`, the eighth and last part based on the eponymous boy wizard which took upto 10 years of his life, a website reported.
"I`ve got two pairs of glasses. One from the seventh film, which were lens less. And also I have a pair with lenses from the first film which just seem like the tiniest little
things now. So it`s very sweet and they both have quite a place in my heart. That was the only thing I wanted. I didn`t want the wand, I certainly didn`t want the broom, and so those were the only things I had my heart set on," said the actor
`Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows` the final in the franchise is split into two parts and Radcliffe has said that the first installment is different to the other films in
the series as the well-known characters will be seen out of their comfort zone.
"You see these characters stripped of their comfortable, safe surroundings and suddenly just out in the wilderness together," he added
The first part of `Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows` will hit the theatres on November 19.
