New Delhi: Shilpa Shetty Monday hit out at reports that she and her husband Raj Kundra are not the co-owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals.
She expressed her resentment on microblogging site Twitter, tweeting: "Woke up and heard on TV that we are not Coowners of RR! Only want to say there is NO DOUBT that RAJ is a stake holder and I am the Brand ambassador, This IS THE TRUTH!.
According to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar, Shilpa and Raj`s names do not even figure in the IPL team`s shareholding papers. The brewing IPL controversy has put Shilpa`s team under the scanner for allegedly being partly owned by Lalit Modi, who was suspended as BCCI vice president and IPL commissioner late Sunday night.
