Mumbai: Come May 26, and the world will witness Narendra Modi’s swearing-in as the 14th Prime Minister of the Republic of India. An invitation has been sent out to the SAARC nations and a number of other personalities from the political fraternity.
If the latest reports are anything to go by, then film personalities- Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi- too will be sent an invite to be a part of the prestigious ceremony.
Modi, the man who is now the center of attraction, has had friendly relations with the three actors in question. However, none of these film personalities have endorsed him for political purposes.
Amitabh Bachchan had campaign for Modi’s Gujarat Tourism. The two have great respect for each other. Even megastar Rajini met Modi during the latter’s visit to Chennai for a political campaign earlier this month. Actor Salman Khan too had shared the dais with the PM designate at a Kite flying festival in Gujarat in January this year.
It will be interesting to see if the speculation turns out to be true and whether or not these celebrities grace the historic event.
