Mumbai: With nearly three lakh fans on the social networking site Twitter, Rajinikanth must have broken some kind of record. The `Kochadaiiyaan` star has posted only three tweets yet and the social networking site went abuzz within the first few hours of him joining.

His first official tweet came with an attached video message, where the superstar says "I am happy to connect with fans through social media, starting with Twitter."

The Twitter account first welcomed all the fans with a specially signed poster of his upcoming Tamil motion capture 3D computer-animated period film directed by his daughter, Saundarya. Now the superstar is posting updates for his fans, and the response is overwhelming. The south star has already got many social networking pages dedicated to him, and with him stepping into the social networking sites, there will only be more who will follow.
