Chennai: In an apparent effort to put speculation about his health to rest, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwaryaa Dhanush has released pictures of the star praying at a temple in the US, where he is currently put up.

"Appa (father) n I @ his guru Satchidananda's 'Lotus all faiths temple'," Aishwaryaa said in an accompanying tweet with two pictures.

In one of the pictures, the 'Kabali' star is seen offering prayers with Aishwaryaa and in another cheerfully walking with an unidentified person.

According to Aishwaryaa, the pictures were taken in Virginia, US.

Rumours about the 65-year-old actor's health had sent his fans into a tizzy recently but his office had assured he was fine and that he was taking rest in the US.

The actor's latest offering "Kabali" is releasing on July 22.

A flash mob was held here yesterday by a team of dancers at a mall to encourage fans to watch the movie in theatres rather than opting for a pirated version.

The producer of the film, 'Kalaippuli' S Thanu, had recently secured an interim injunction from the Madras High Court restraining all internet service providers from illegal downloading of the film.

Also starring Radhika Apte among others, "Kabali" is directed by Pa.Ranjith of "Attakathi" and "Madras" fame, with the music being scored by Santhosh Narayanan.

The song 'Neruppuda' (This is fire) is already a chartbuster.
