Hyderabad: Telugu movie heartthrob Ram Charan has entered matrimony today with his childhood sweet heart Upasana Kamineni. After a star-studded sangeet ceremony on June 11, Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan tied know with Upasana on June 14.
The guest list included personalities from Indian politics and artists from the Indian - Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Mohan Babu, Ambreesh, Venkatesh, and Suhasini Mani Ratnam, among others.
Andhra Pradesh CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, Tamil Nadu's Governor Konijeti Rosaiah and actor Jr NTR were among the first to arrive.
The wedding had a very desi touch to it. Both the bride and the groom had decided to receive presents in blessings only. The duo exchanged marital vows today in front of their family and friends. They will marry again tomorrow for their fans.
Talking to a daily, a source revealed, “The wedding is not just for the couple but for the entire state and its people. Both of them have been involved in charity and will be undertaking several activities to help the needy,”
Touted to be the “the wedding of the year”, the gala event was held today at Temple Trees, Moinabad and was attended by around 4000 friends and family. In the evening Papa Chiranjeevi will be hosting a reception for around 7,000 guests at Hyderabad International Convention Center. Friday, will be a day reserved for Ram Charan’s fans to savour which will be followed by lunch.
