Mumbai: Security arrangements at the office and residence of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma have been beefed up after he received a threat Thursday.
Varma had got threats earlier also due to the content of his forthcoming crime saga `Satya 2`, which the promos showed.
“He is at the additional commissioner`s office in Bandra presently. The security arrangements have been tightened at his house as well as office,” a spokesperson of Varma, told IANS.
Varma took to microblogging site Twitter to explain his position.
“On basis of an intercepted conversation, Mumbai police gave me security..for various reasons, I can`t divulge the contents of the threat,” Varma posted on Twitter Thursday.
However, Varma did not confirm whether the threat had anything to do with the film.
"For some important reasons, I cannot comment on whether or not this threat to me is related to the content of `Satya 2`," he said.
`Satya 2` release date has been shifted from Oct 25 to Nov 8.
