Mumbai: Actor Ranbir Kapoor may star in one of the parts, being directed by Dibaker Banerjee, in `Bombay Talkies`, a collection of four short films, marking 100 years of Indian Cinema.
`Bombay Talkies` comprises four different retro short films with filmmakers Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Anurag Kashyap and Zoya Akhtar helming each of them.
Gossip mills are abuzz that Ranbir might be seen for the first time in Dibaker Banerjee`s film.
When asked about Ranbir`s presence in his film, Dibaker said, "That you will have to see... That is the biggest secret of our film. But we do have Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the film. I can`t reveal much".
About his creation, Dibaker said, "I would be making an emotional film... It is a tear jerker. I wanted to include regional flavor so it has the use of Marathi language in it".
`Bombay Talkies` will be released on May 3, marking 100 years of Indian Cinema that began with "Raja Harishchandra", the first full-length feature film, unveiled to audience on May 3, 1913.
Dibaker said he has signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films.
"I am still writing the script. So as of now nothing has been decided," he said.
Dibaker, known for making films like "Khosla Ka Ghosla", "Oye Lucky Lucky Oye" and "Love Sex Aur Dhokha", seems quite happy with the association and thinks of it as a promising and exciting venture.
"The main thing about YRF is that they believe in what they do and they are clear about what they want to do. They respect the process of film-making and respect films and this profession. Aditya Chopra and I talked for a long time to discover what we have in common," he added.
