Mumbai: With kohl-lined eyes and a mouth full of paan, actor Ranbir Kapoor has re-lived his father Rishi`s `tapori` ways from `Amar Akbar Antony` in his new item number for `Chillar Party`.

The `Raajneeti` star liked the fun filled kids` film and didn`t hesitate when he was approached to do an item number for it, deciding to pay a tribute to his father by imitating him in the song.

The 28-year-old dons the look of a `tapori`, with kajal in his eyes, a cupped `tirchi topi` on his head, a thin moustache and a real pan in his mouth making his lips go deep red, according to the film`s co-directors Vikas Bahl and
Nitesh Tiwari.

"As an actor, Ranbir keeps improvising. And when it came to the `inspired` look in the song, he was prompt to come up with the idea to have a similar kind of head-gear, moustache and paan-chewing look as his father," said Bahl.

Ranbir has always been in love with the film `Amar Akbar Anthony` and the `tapori` look created an impression on his mind when he was growing up.

"Akbar happens to be one of our favorite characters from Bollywood too. And we were confident about experimenting with Ranbir," said Tiwari.

The movie is about a gang of innocent yet feisty kids from Chandan Nagar in whose lives enter two strangers Fatka and Bheedu and how they become an inseparable part of their `Chillar Party`.
