Rejections helped me shape my career: Freida Pinto
London: Actress Freida Pinto is glad that she was rejected at several film auditions as she thinks it was her destiny to find fame through `Slumdog Millionaire`.
The Mumbai-born actress auditioned for a number of roles before achieving fame in the 2008 Oscar-winning movie and she insists that her bad experiences made her the person she is today, a website reported.
"I`m glad things happened the way they happened. I needed to be rejected, and I needed to learn that it`s part of the game. I said, `It`s okay. I can have 100 rejections, but I`m sure there`s going to be one particular thing that is almost destined for me to have, and I am going to have it," said Pinto.
The 26-year-old actress says she is relieved she missed out on some of the roles as she would have regretted them later.
"Some of those things I got rejected for, I look back and say, `Oh, my god, I`m so happy that happened. There would be a lot of things I would have regretted. I used to go for these crazy auditions and they`d have the most stupid, silly scripts. My heart was never in it," said Pinto.
