London: Pop beauty Rihanna has filed a lawsuit against several companies over water leaks at her 7-million-dollar Los Angeles mansion.
Rihanna, who purchased the house for 6.9 million dollars in 2009, claimed that the house was ‘uninhabitable’, as water had leaked into several rooms. She brought the lawsuit against Prudential California Realty and several other companies that designed and inspected the property, reports the Daily Mail. Problems started taking place following a rainstorm in 2010, when several rooms in the mansion were inundated. Rihanna, 23, who is convinced of former owner, Heather Rudamin, knowing about the waterproofing defects, filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming that he had lied about the state of the property while striking the deal with her. The ‘S and M’ singer also claimed in the court papers that had she known about the structural defects, she would not have paid such a huge sum for it. ANI
