London: R&B star Rihanna took a sightseeing tour of London after being evacuated from the Corintha Hotel where a fire broke out in the lift shaft.
The `Where Have You Been` hitmaker was evacuated from the hotel in Whitehall Place Wednesday morning with 300 other guests and she took the opportunity to go and see some of London`s famous landmarks, reported Sun online.
"When the alarm went off she packed her laptop and jewellery and headed outside with other guests.
"But instead of waiting for the all-clear, she got a taxi to take her on a tour of Downing Street, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace," said an eye-witness.
Rihanna, 24, was able to return to her room at 7am after her impromptu tour.
"She also made time to stop for a McDonald`s breakfast from Charing Cross," the source added.
She tweeted a picture of herself in the back of a black cab wearing a grey hoodie and sunglasses and posted, "Roamin da streets since 6am! Fyah in da telly #evacuationlife (sic)"
Rihanna is in London to record new material for her follow-up album to 2011`s `Talk That Talk` and also performed at BBC Radio 1`s Hackney Weekend music event last weekend.
