Los Angeles: Robert Pattinson doesn`t like being referred to as R-Patz by fans and media.
At a recent event, Pattinson, while talking about making the leap from Twilight to meatier, more dramatic roles like in "Cosmopolis", said he hates being nicknamed so, reported Us magazine.
"When I got this part, every single article that came out was, `R-Patz`s struggle for credibility!; I don`t understand who invented that thing, `R-Patz,`. I want to strangle them," he said.
Pattinson isn`t the only A-lister who finds his public nickname less-than-endearing. Earlier this year, Scarlett Johansson spoke about her intense dislike for the moniker "ScarJo."
She said, "Oh, it`s awful. It`s a laziness... People can`t actually say the whole name? It`s just bizarre... So Cate Blanchett is not, like, `CaBla`? Why is that? Why do I have to get stuck with [ScarJo]?"
