Russell Brand to be honoured for charity work
London: British comedian Russell Brand will be honoured in Los Angeles next month for his contribution to women`s cancer charities.
Brand has been working towards women`s cancer causes after his mother Barbara battled the illness three times when he was a child. The star will be the guest of honour at Variety magazine`s Power of Comedy event that will take place Dec 4 at Club Nokia, reports contactmusic.com.
Comedians Sarah Silverman and Bob Saget will perform at the event and the proceeds of the show will be donated to Noreen Fraser Foundation`s Men for Women Now initiative to raise money for women`s cancer research.
