Mumbai: Not too long ago, proud mother Sharmila Tagore had confirmed the wedding date of her son Saif Ali Khan. The Nawab’s wedding to his ladylove Kareena Kapoor was fixed on 16 October after huge speculation.
The couple had earlier refused to put date to their impending wedding but after Sharmila confirmed the news, Bollywood was raring for the big fat wedding. And sister Soha Ali Khan’s tweet confirmed the gala affair.
But now there’s a new twist to the tale. The groom-to-be, Saif has denied he is getting married on the aforesaid date.
Talking to a daily, Saif said, “I haven’t fixed a date for my wedding! I’m yet to meet Kareena’s parents to sort out the date ... the venue is also not finalized,” and added, “It’s going to be a year-end wedding.”
And on being asked if everyone in his family including his kids Sarah and Ibrahim from his first wife Amrita Singh, have accepted his decision to get married to Kareena, Saif said, “Everyone is very happy.”
That was short and to the point. But we wonder why is Saif refusing to put a date to his wedding? And this makes us wonder even more because it comes after Sanjay Leela Bhansali ousted Kareena from his project ‘Ram Leela’ on the grounds that she would soon be a married woman.
