Mumbai: Salman Khan, who is known for being a magnanimous personality, had rushed an injured unit member on his personal vehicle to the Lilavati Hospital on Saturday after he was injured in an accident on the sets of ‘Dabanng 2’. The staff member was one of the three to be injured on the sets. The unforeseen event occurred while filming an action sequence at Mehboob studios. After taking the injured person to the hospital, Salman addressed the media that had gathered and said, “Everything is fine. It is just that it took us time to reach the hospital because of a traffic jam between Mehboob Studio and Lilavati Hospital.” Talking to a leading daily, Dinesh Chaturvedi, General Secretary of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) said, “A car jump was being filmed when the accident happened. The car was supposed to jump and land at a distance of 50 feet. Instead it went further and landed in front of the still photographer Ajay Thakur who has been seriously injured. Two other fighters Rupesh Mantri and Sudesh Kumar were also injured.” “We are touched by Salman`s gesture of taking the injured to hospital. Such acts do not happen in our industry. I have been told that Salman will be taking care of all medical expenses of the injured and will also pay compensation,” Chaturvedi added. Reportedly, all the injured unit members are conscious and recuperating well.
