New Delhi: Indian Union Cabinet Minister for Women & Child Development- Maneka Gandhi recently voiced her opinion on the on-going 'rape' remark controversy involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

The 50-year-old actor, who invited a lot of trouble for his 'raped woman' remark earlier, skipped to appear before the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) on July 7.

Consequently, Salman has been summoned on July 14 over the same.

'Dabangg' Khan has been summoned by both MSCW and NCW to explain his recent ‘rape remarks’ which ignited a controversy ahead of his latest mega-hit film 'Sultan', which hit the screens on July 6.

Gandhi, who recently spoke about online trolls and women safety, confronted NCW asking them to not make celebrities a priority and focus on cases of actual rapists that are pending, as per a report in CNN.
