Salman Khan stands up to Amitabh as the host of ‘Bigg Boss’
Mumbai: It seems that rivals have changed in the small screen war field. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan were battling to establish supremacy over the idiot box, and now, it is Salman Khan pitted against Big B. According to the latest report, Salman Khan has been roped in to host the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss 4’ while Amitabh would be hosting the popular game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 4’. It remains to be seen as to who would emerge more powerful, for when it comes to dedicated fan-following, Sallu is not far behind Big B.
"Salman Khan has been finalised as the host of the next season. We will announce the development officially soon," a source confirmed.
Soon after Amitabh gave a nod to the upcoming season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, there were reports that either Shah Rukh or Akshay Kumar would be signed on as the ‘Bigg Boss 4’ host.
Buzz has it that the ‘Bigg Boss’ timings may clash with ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 4’, the promos of which have already gone on air.
However, the source added, "We are not sure when exactly will the show go on air, but we plan to launch it in October for sure. The dates are still to be worked out."
‘Bigg Boss’ is the Indian version of popular British reality show ‘Big Brother’. Its past three seasons were hosted by Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty and Amitabh, respectively.
