Mumbai: Don’t go by his hard looks for inside lies a really tender heart, which is full of love and compassion. Yes, that’s Salman Khan folks!
Like a true-blue cosmopolitan, Salman Khan celebrates Eid and Ganesh Chaturthi with equal fervour. Talking to a daily about the significance of Eid and Ganesh Chaturthi, the actor, who is currently in the US for the treatment of his nerve disorder said, “Eid, Ganesh Chaturthi or any other festival each are special and just as close to my heart. We celebrate all.”
“I wish I could’ve been in the city during this time but I just couldn’t move around with this pain anymore. But I do wish everyone Eid Mubarak,” he said.
Apparently, recalling his childhood memories of Eid, Salman said, “As kids it would mean biryani, sweets and lots of gifts. It’s not too different now, except now I give out gifts instead of taking and to be honest, I think giving is as much fun as getting. I like to see the smile on people’s faces, especially at the time of such festivals.”
Though Salman could not observe the roza this time around due to medication, he is a self confessed foodie. “Biryani of course is an all-time fave. But biryani or not, I just love the food that my mom makes. So, don’t think I will miss too much of that,” said the actor.
When enquired about his prays this Eid, Salman signed off saying, “Health, happiness, peace and success for all of us.”
