Sanjay Dutt gets month-long parole again

Sanjay Dutt, who is in Yerawada Jail in Pune has got parole for 30 days. The actor had recently got parole for 14 days due to illness which was extending for another two weeks later.

New Delhi: Sanjay Dutt, who is in Yerawada Jail in Pune has got parole for 30 days. The actor had recently got parole for 14 days due to illness which was extending for another two weeks later. This time the actor gets a month parole to take care of his wife who has taken ill. The parole was granted by Pune`s Divisional Commissioner. The actor was given a 42 month jail sentence for possessing arms illegally during the 1993 Bombay blasts. Dutt was convicted by Supreme Court in March and was sentenced to six years in prison, which was later reduced to five. Sympathy of the entire Bollywood community was extended to him at the time. The review petition was rejected by Supreme Court was rejected on May 10, and the actor surrendered before Mumbai Police on May 16.
