Sanjay Dutt getting served alcohol in jail, alleges BJP leader

New Delhi: Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is currently in Yerawada Jail to serve the sentence imposed on him by the court for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, has courted controversy again.

According to an online tabloid, senior BJP leader Vinod Talwade has alleged that Sanjay Dutt is getting served beer and rum secretively by some jail authorities.

Voicing his concern on the matter, Additional director general (prisons) Meeran Chadha Borwankar denied the rumours but assured to conduct an inquiry to confirm the allegations.

Meanwhile, Sanjay has been given 30 days parole because his wife Manyata is unwell. Although his application has been accepted but when he can leave for home is not clear. The date will be decided only after the completion of some formalities.

The actor already has the required permission to enjoy home cooked food and a fan during his jail term.

Jail supritendent Yogesh Desai has denied the allegations against Dutt.
