New Delhi: Amidst protests and controversies, Sanjay Dutt’s parole request has been accepted. The Bollywood actor has been granted parole, and was out of jail in the morning on Saturday. The parole is set on the condition that Dutt has to report to Khar police station for two days in a week during the 30 day period. Dutt had requested a month’s parole on the grounds that his wife needed surgery. At the time controversy had erupted when Manyata was spotted in a Movie premiere party only a few days before. Protests were being held outside the Yerawada prison that he was being given special privileges due to his clout. The application had been rejected due to improper permissions and failing to meet parole conditions. Reports suggest that Dutt’s brother-in-law has stepped up to provide the surety for the bail application to be accepted. Dutt, is serving a five-year sentence illegal arms` possession in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.
