Mumbai: The AIB Knockout event held last month involving producer-director Karan Johar, actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, drew flak from a number of people, who believed it was ‘vulgar’. Nonetheless, the trio found support from many members of the film fraternity.
However, it was Aamir Khan, who openly expressed his views on AIB. He believed that such shows loaded with expletives that 'perpetuated verbal, emotional violence'. And now ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has reportedly expressed his disapproval over AIB.
Bhansali found Ranveer and Arjun’s role in the roast ‘cheap’ and wanted them to conduct themselves well as stars.
Interestingly, Ranveer’s mentor Bhansali (if one can put it that way) had given the former’s already flourishing acting career further impetus by taking him on board ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela- Ram Leela’. And now the two have teamed up again for Bhansali’s ambitious project- ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Despite their otherwise strong equation, Bhansali chose to express himself on AIB that involved Ranveer.
