London: Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, whose parents separated when she was 14 years old, is "cynical" when it comes to marriage and romance.
The 28-year-old singer is in a relationship with DJ Tom Crane for three years but is still unsure if he is her soulmate, Contactmusic reported.
"I`ve thought I`d met The One previously. But as you grow up, you get to know who is a good partner for you. Tommy could be my soulmate. I think time is a great test. I`ve learnt over the years not to think that straight away because you`re in the honeymoon period.
"I used to become infatuated with people, but it would end before the honeymoon period was over and I`d be left devastated. Now I`m a bit cynical when it comes to relationships and marriage, probably because of my own family history. When the time`s right I think we`ll know," said Harding.
The singer is in no hurry to get married and is ready to wait till she is in her 30s as she is busy focusing on her career right now.
"Maybe I haven`t got the same strong values at Tom when it comes to marriage. I just think when the time`s right we`ll know. When would I fit in a wedding when I`m working all the time? My mum got married quite young, and I think I`d like to wait until I`m in my 30s. Your 20s are about sorting out your career," she added.
