Mumbai: Once thick friends Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have been at loggerheads since the release of their films, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Saawariya’ respectively.
Going by the recent news, it doesn’t look like SRK and Bhansali will bury the hatchet anytime soon. According to grapevine, SRK’s home production ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ and Bhansali’s ‘My Friend Pinto’ will clash at the Box Office on 17 June.
While talking to a tabloid a source said, “SRK and Bhansali were close friends and when their films clashed in 2007, SRK had said that he would try and speak to the director. Once the clash was inevitable, both of them started a media war.”
Farah Khan, director of OSO made a mock of Bhansali saying that had the filmmaker made a film like ‘Om Shanti Om’, he would have christened it as ‘Maa Shanti Maa’. This had made SRK and Bhansali’s relationship go even more sour.
And since then King Khan and the ace director have not been in talking terms.
Well oh well, when will the two industry heavyweights think of reconciliation? Any guesses people?
