Shah Rukh was drunk during scuffle: Police

The spat between the officials of Mumbai Cricket Association and KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan at the Wankhede stadium on late Wednesday night has taken an ugly turn as it has been revealed that the actor was drunk when the alleged scuffle took place.

Mumbai: The spat between the officials of Mumbai Cricket Association and KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan at the Wankhede stadium on late Wednesday night has taken an ugly turn as it has been revealed that the actor was drunk when the alleged scuffle took place. According to ACP Mumbai Police Iqbal Sheikh said a complaint was lodged by Nitin Dalal, MCA secretary, at the Marine Drive police station against the actor and Morani brothers. Sheikh mentioned that when he reached the spot a scuffle was on and the actor appeared drunk. “Shah Rukh smelled of alcohol,” he said. While addressing the media, Sheikh said that the actor got into an altercation with the MCA officials post an IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians. The actor was prohibited from entering the grounds after the match got over. Heated arguments followed and it is being alleged that the actor and his associates hurled abuses at those present there including a lady. The lady’s identity has not been revealed yet. While earlier reports suggested that the actor was banned from the Wankhede stadium for life, MCA officials state that ban has been put till the time inquiry is on.
