Shahid escapes a fatal accident on the sets of ‘Mausam`
Mumbai: Veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut film `Mausam’s` sets proved to be a nightmare for his son Shahid Saturday. The ‘Kaminey’ star, who plays an Air Force officer in the much talked-about film met with an accident that could have been fatal. But the actor was lucky enough to avert a disaster and was left with a shoulder injury.
The crew of ‘Mausam’ could not believe its eyes when it saw a Ferris-wheel come flinging towards Shasha. The handsome young man got saved by a fraction and ended up hurting his right arm and shoulder. Daddy Kapoor could not believe his son meeting an accident and stood stunned.
Talking to a tabloid, an eyewitness said, "Yes, Shahid is injured and has hurt his right shoulder and arm. But it could`ve been worse. If he hadn`t moved out in time his face would`ve taken the brunt. Pankajji just couldn`t move. He was transfixed staring at his son. Shahid kept assuring everyone he was fine until the doctor arrived."
However, the ill-fated day saw incidents far more terrifying.
The doctor, who drove in to attend to Shahid collided with a bike stationed at the sets. And what made matters worse was the breaking of a platform (hanging 70 feet above the ground level) that carried two light men.
Producer Sheetal Talwar is thanking her stars and thinks that there was some divine intervention that saved her crew from the mishaps.
Talwar said, "It was a nightmare for all of us. And I`d rather not talk about it. Miraculously, Shahid was saved. No, it wasn`t the whole Ferris wheel; just one of the boxes came loose. It`s almost like some force was watching over us."
