New Delhi: Noted Pakistani singer Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had an embarrassing moment ahead of the New Year, when he was sent back from the Hyderabad airport. According to a report in TOI.com, Rahat landed in the country on Thursday morning, at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad.
However, he was stopped by the authorities and asked to go back to Abu Dhabi as per immigration rules no Pakistani national can enter India via Hyderbad. The legal ports of entry by air are Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
Paki singer was scheduled to perform at the Taj Falaknuma Palace on New Year's eve. As per the report, the noted singer then had to take an immediate flight to Delhi from Abu Dhabi and then again flew to Hyderabad—avoiding any further 'technical flaw'.
The singer performed at 11 in the night, which was earlier scheduled for 8 pm, reportedly.
