Soha Ali Khan has studied history at the prestigious Oxford University. And, unlike many other star kids, she worked in a bank before she signed her first movie at the age of 25.
We caught up with Soha Ali Khan today on Teachers Day and asked her about any fond memories from school and college. We asked her about her favourite teacher from school and she had this to say: “Mrs. Vineeta Uppal. She was my History teacher in British School in New Delhi. She is still in Delhi and I am still in touch with her.” When quizzed what made that teacher special, she said, “She taught us in a very unique way. Otherwise, history would be very boring. But she asked lots of questions, made us think out of the box. It wasn’t only about rattofying and giving lame answers. She encouraged us to think differently, she had a sense of humour and she would make us laugh. That is why she was quite cool. And that’s why history is one of my favourite subjects.” She also had some advice for students where she said it was important for everyone to finish their education, at least up to college level so that they are not limited with the options available to them. She said that only education gives options and options will truly gives a chance to do what one really wants to do. Indiancolleges.com/Shavez Moidin
