`Sooraj Pancholi sent Jiah Khan a break-up bouquet`

New Delhi: Jiah Khan’s bereaved mother, Rabiya Khan, has made some very important revelations which throw light on the kind of mental and physical torture Sooraj Pancholi inflicted upon the actress when she was alive. Rabiya Khan has revealed that Jiah and Sooraj were in a live-in relationship for a year and Jiah was heartbroken when Sooraj sent her a break-up bouquet of lilies. She even wrote on her Twitter page that Jiah had several bruises on her body. Rabiya said that there were several things about the relationship she was not aware of including the fact that Sooraj manhandled Jiah in a drunken state. “I knew about his abusing her and not respecting her and also about the presents and the Goa trip. But I found out other aspects, which were hurtful… When she came to London during her birthday, I saw that she always had tears in her eyes. I asked her if this was regarding Sooraj and she started crying… she said that he abuses her and shouts at her. When he drinks, he can’t handle himself.” Sooraj has now been booked under IPC Section 306 (abetment of suicide) and he will remain in police custody till 13 June. The police are waiting for Jiah’s medical reports before making a decision on slapping more charges on the accused. The police told the court that they have recovered five love letters exchanged between Suraj and Jiah and they wanted to verify the contents. Besides that, the CCTV footage of the hotel and house, where the duo went the day Jiah ended her life, has also been recovered, public prosecutor A K Pacharane told the court. He added that there were serious allegations of threat, assault and rape against Sooraj. Some time ago, sources spotted Sooraj kissing actress Riya Sen at a party at Prive, Mumbai.
