Mumbai: Mushtaq Shiekh, film writer and biographer of actor Shah Rukh Khan came out in defense of the superstar and said that SRK’s daughter Suhana was pushed by guards of the stadium and hence the scuffle broke out.
Post Kolkata Knight Rider’s win against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday night, Shah Rukh got into an ugly spat with the MCA officials at the Wankhede Stadium. Things got so heated up that SRK hurled abuses at the officials. According to police reports, the actor was drunk.
While the MCA officials have been giving their version of the incident, SRK and his entourage has been mum on the matter.
Shiekh who was present at the Wankhede stadium when the scuffle took place took to Twitter to give his side of the story.
“Somebody physically pushed Suhana for playing in the area! And they didnt even apologise after misbehaving! Any parent would have done what @iamsrk did! Why wouldnt he be angry? #istandbysrk(sic)” tweeted Shiekh.
He further added, “ If a parent stands up for his child...how does it become hooliganism? Can the press explain what`s all this negative reportage on @iamsrk ?(sic)”
Soon after the scuffle, MCA lodged a complain at the Marine Drive police station against the actor and Morani brothers who were also involved in the altercation.
