London: Katie Holmes has said that looks and talent count for absolutely nothing if you don`t have a pleasant personality to accompany them.
"You may be pretty and you may be talented but nobody will remember that if you`re mean," the Daily Express quoted Holmes telling Allure magazine.
Holmes, who was previously married to Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise, said that these wise words, given to her by mother Kathleen to keep her grounded when she was a little girl, have served as her mantra up until now.
