Taylor Swift named entertainer of the year award

Country music sweetheart Taylor Swift has been named the entertainer of the year at the Academy of Country Music awards while Miranda Lambert walked away with four trophies.

The other big winners were Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley and Sugarland. Swift was nominated alongside Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban for the fan-voted award, the Hollywood Reporter said. "This is the first time that I`ve ever won this, and I`m just losing my mind," Swift, 21, said. Lambert took home four awards, including female vocalist of the year. Her single `The House That Built Me` earned honors for song of the year, single record of the year and video of the year. Brad Paisley was named male vocalist of the year, while Lady Antebellum took home the awards for top vocal group and album of the year for Need You Know. Sugarland was named top vocal duo of the year. Eric Church won top new solo vocalist, and the Band Perry was named top new vocal duo or group. PTI
