Trouble in Steven Tyler and fiancee Erin Brady’s paradise
New York: Steven Tyler has split from his fiancée Erin Brady, according to reports.
According to the New York Post, the Aerosmith rocker quietly ended the relationship because he wants to give his full attention to the band`s ``Global Warming Tour`` - which kicks off for a second leg on November 8, two days after they release their first new album in 11 years, ``Music from Another Dimension!``
“Steven has quietly ended it with his fiancée,” a music insider told the publication.
The source added it’s because sober Tyler, 64, has been trying to stay on the straight-and-narrow while touring, and has found it hard maintaining a relationship with Brady, 38.
“Steven has been trying to maintain his lifestyle and to stay clean,” the source said.
“The tour is really important to him and the band. So he decided to end it.”
The source also revealed that the rest of Aerosmith has struggled to gel with Brady, with her being described as a ``kind of Yoko Ono character - a reference to the widow of the late John Lennon who was perceived to be the catalyst for The Beatles eventual break-up.
A representative for Aerosmith has confirmed the couple is going through difficult times, but insists that they remain engaged to be married.
“Just as any couple goes through trials and tribulations in a relationship, Steven and Erin are asking for their privacy at this time. They are engaged to be married and each is committed to their sobriety,” a statement read.
The representative added that any claim to the contrary is “absolutely false and misleading”.
Tyler proposed to Brady in December in Hawaii, and hinted in March they’d tie the knot in either Hawaii or Thailand.
The marriage would be Steven’s third.
