London: Multi-talented Tyler Perry has grabbed the top spot on Forbes Magazine’s 2011 list of the highest paid men in the entertainment industry.
The 42-year-old American actor, who is also a writer, producer and director, topped the list with earnings of 130 million dollars between May 2010 and May 2011.
The star, who was born in New Orleans, has released a whopping four movies over the past year, acting as writer, director and producer, reports the Daily Mail.
Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer was rated second on the Forbes list with 113 million dollars, thanks in part to the success of the fourth ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ film and the CSI television series.
Director and producer Steven Spielberg, 64, was third with 107 million dollars, while Elton John eclipsed Simon Cowell to make fourth place with 100 million dollars.
Leonardo DiCaprio was the only actor in the top 10, following the success last year of films such as ‘Inception’ and ‘Shutter Island’, which meant he took home 77 million dollars up to May 2011.
Despite failing to capture his best form since his sex scandal, Tiger Woods Tiger Woods, at No10 on the list, was best-paid sports ace with 75 million dollars.
