New Delhi: Bollywood industry's gem and veteran actor Shashi Kapoor has given the industry some of the best performances that will be cherished in many more years to come.
As a recognition of his contribution, Shashi Kapoor will be conferred the Dada Saheb Phalke Award which is known as the highest award in Indian cinema.
Kapoor, who turned 77 earlier this month, is the 46th winner of the prestigious award.
The award is presented annually at the National Film Awards ceremony by the Directorate of Film Festivals.
Shashi Kapoor has acted in a large number of Hindi language films as well as in a few English-language films. Also, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2011.
