Vidya reveals her desire to tie the nuptial with a Bengali man
New Delhi: Tamilian beauty Vidya Balan is a die-hard Bengali at heart. And the ‘Ishqiya’ star expressed her love for Bengal when she recently visited Kolkata to shoot a TV commercial for a hair oil brand. The actress, who has been fed up of clarifying questions about her marriage, went candid about her desire to settle down in life with a Bengali man.
Vidya revealed her unconditional love for the City of Joy and said that that she feels a strong bond for Kolkata and searches for excuses to visit the city.
Talking to a daily, she said, "I am deeply associated with Bengal. I think I hardly know anybody having so much touch with Bengal as I do”.
But the real surprise came when while expressing her love for Bengal she added - "I am always searching for a Bengali man to settle down with. See if I can get him.”
Interestingly, Balan made her movie debut in the Bengali film, ‘Bhalo Theko’ in 2003. She later made her Hindi film debut with ‘Parineeta’ in which she portrayed the beautiful role of Lolita, a Bengali character for which she earned the ‘Filmfare Best Female Debut Award’ as well as her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination.
