Vocal Rakhi Sawant goes mum on question of first marriage

Spicezee Bureau Mumbai: Usually bold and outspoken Rakhi Sawant went mum, when a journalist asked about her first marriage, giving rise to fresh speculations on her love-life. Dressed in red and flashing her engagement ring with fiancé Elesh Parujanwala in tow, the bindaas babe looked shaken when the question was posed to her. She briefly closed her eyes and said, ‘no comments’. A channel had claimed in 2007 that Rakhi had briefly married a guy called Ashraf, who also financed her music video, ‘Pardesia’ - that was turning point in her career. But the marriage lasted only for two to three months and Ashraf was arrested in a case of fraud. Later, Rakhi came to know that he was married and has a kid. It was also said that Ashraf’s family tortured her for money. However, her fiancé Elesh Parujanwala, the winner of Rakhi’s reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’, seems to be a broad-minded guy. He said, "We are open to each other; our past has come and gone. Everyone goes through a bad phase and we both had a bad phase in our personal lives."
