New Delhi: Competition and rivalry among peers in Bollywood is well-known. And actors Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput have reportedly been embroiled in a tiff. It is said that Kapoor recently replaced Rajput in a film and ever since this happened, there are rumours of a cold war between the two.
According to a tabloid, the `Kai Po Che` star opted out of his mentor Abhishek Kapoor`s next `Fitoor` in order to accomodate his dates for Shekhar Kapur’s film, `Paani`. This apparently upset Disney UTV and Kapoor, who happens to be the younger brother of Disney UTV head, Siddharth Roy Kapoor.
"It is known that Sushant didn’t exit from his mentor’s film on a cordial note and that the actor opted out of `Fitoor` to accommodate Shekhar Kapur’s film, `Paani`. This didn’t go down well with Kapoor and Disney UTV," a source said.
After this incident, the two, who were shooting for their respective YRF movies in the vicinity, had ignored each other`s presence. Not only this, it is also said that the tension between them became obvious, when Kapoor greeted Rajput as he almost ran into him, but the latter gave a cold shoulder to the `Aashiqui 2` star.
“Sushant was busy with his workshops for `Byomkesh Bakshi` and Aditya had started shooting for `Daawat-e-Ishq`. After a while, the latter made the first move by greeting Sushant when he ran into him. But Sushant snubbed him,” the source added.
